(c) Rhian's Photo
I thought taking picture was just simply point and shoot, but it changes when I started to appreciate my photos taken with my DSLR camera. I realized (this time it really sink-in) that there's an art in photography.

I bought my Nikon D40 DSLR camera three years ago because I was inspired by my friend (Rhian) photo of Brazilian models taken in a private studio. I want to learn the concepts, proper lighting, angle, etc.

Rhian was very active that time, so whenever I see his photos in Multiply and Facebook all I can say was WOW! I tried several times to go with him in a photo shoot but with some reasons, I wasn't able to go.

Now Rhian is not active in photography anymore, but he's very supportive whenever I need to know/learn something about photography. Two weeks ago, I asked him if there's a photo shoot schedule and there was, he sent me the details but with unavoidable circumstances, again I wasn't able to go.

It was last Monday; he sent again another photo shoot schedule, immediately I told my wife about it, and it's a go. I was very excited because finally, I'll have a chance to experience the reason why I bought my D40; I don't know why but haven't confirmed it yet with Ruel (the photo shoot organizer) not until last night.

Tuesday to yesterday, I had a HUGE Blessing that my savings can't afford (Thanks to my mother-in-law and my brother for the financial help). Last night, I thought about the photo shoot, physically I really want to go but deep inside of me doesn't want to (maybe because of the fee which became an ), but I really opted to attend the shoot. Almost 7PM of last night I sent text message to Ruel to confirm that I'll join his photo shoot, and I ask him to guide me because this is my first time, he said Ok. I prepared everything; battery charged, flash, etc., I'm good to go.

Last night before we go to sleep, Rhea and I prayed for it (photo shoot), not because of I want to go or not, but because of the purpose why I want to go. Past 11PM, I woke up and received a text message from Ruel. He told me that photo shoot will be rescheduled because of lack of shooters. Immediately, I whispered Praise God!. Your will be done. I told Rhea about what happened last night and she said also, Praise God!

If God allow it to happen, it will happen. In a common translation, if it is meant to be; it will be. This is just an ordinary expression for common people in applicable in every situation. However, as Christians we believed that there's God, who knows what's best for us. We should acknowledge and put our trust in Him because we know that all things work together for good to those who love Him. Romans 8:28.

I remember some the lyrics in the song "Heart of Worship" :

I'll bring you more than a song,
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

God's sees us in our hearts not how beautiful we are or how much money we got.

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7

To God be the Glory. Happy Sunday. God Bless..

Are you tight on TITHE?

Some people believed on the principle of Tithe, but most people don't.

Since I'm Christian,  I do believe on tithes and I'm practicing it, not because my religion dictates me, but because it belongs to God. Tithing  may sound easy for you but honestly, you can't do it if the Lord is not with you.

When I was still one of the children attending Sunday school, I don't understand what is the essence of offering. Sometimes a give but most of the time I don't, even though my parents gave money for offering. To the extent that I even lied to my parents saying that I gave the money for offering but the truth is I did not, instead I used it to buy toys or snacks.

That time, my mother and my sister were very active in the church. I remember my sister would ask me to give any amount of money for offering like for example, P0.50.  So, I did; I put P0.50 on the offering basket then next Sunday, I saw my name in the Liturgy/Program. It was fun for me seeing my name in the Liturgy together with other people who also gave their offering. However, still it doesn't make sense why I'm doing it.

When I became youth and active in our church, somehow I understand the essence of offering and tithes. It was intended for church activities, fund, church workers salary, repairs, and other church related support.
I love my church that's why I give offering. Even so, still I feel that there's something missing that I need to accept and understand.

I've heard many messages and sermons pertaining to offering and tithes. No doubt they've explained it very well. I tried to practice tithing for several times, but it lasted only a number of Sundays.

Tithe - Sometimes, tithes. the tenth part of agricultural produce or personal income set apart as an offering to God or for works of mercy, or the same amount regarded as an obligation or tax for the support of the church, priesthood, or the like. Dictionary.com

Imagine letting go of the 10% of your income (salary) without return. Thinking that I might use it for the coming days. Tithing becomes struggle for me. Moreover, I'm not convinced that the church is not properly utilizing my tithes. I may be able to give tithes, but I know for sure that I'm not giving it wholeheartedly. For the sake that I'm into a religion that encourages giving tithes (but we are not forced to do it).

Since I started to be employed, the salary that I'm receiving was just enough for my lifestyle. I'm happy and enjoying my social life. So, what is missing?

It was three or four years ago. I realized what's missing? I don't know what happened to me, but when I woke up that morning I said to my mom that from this day I will start tithing. Basically that's what happened to me.

I started tithing again with no questions or hesitations, I came to realize that I had two failed relationships that took almost ten years of my investments (time, money and effort) then I remember the famous Bible verse about tithing Malachi 3:10:

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Now I know for the fact that I'm religiously tithing, and ask myself why I shouldn't hesitate to ask the Lord what I need?

One night I prayed, letting my heart speak to the Lord what it desires. Tears flow in my eyes hoping God would hear my cry.

Months after I prayed; I had my third girlfriend. I praise God so much because I've felt that He heard and answered my prayer. After five/six months we decided to get married then after a year Izaiah Kiel is with us.

What's happening to my life right now is the result of my reverence to God and the little amount of tithe which I owe it to Him. For He is so good that He never left me even to the worst part of my life.

Believe it or not, my wife and I may not have savings for a certain period but we make sure we have tithes.

If you have questions, read your Bible; God will answer all your questions.

Is your LIFE bugging you?

I'm sure that every Christian couple is very grateful whenever they see two red marks as a result of the wife's pregnancy test. It's a gift of life.
A pastor once told.. "you may lose all your possessions, just persevere and be diligent you may have it all again.. Unlike in life, once lost.. Forever, it will be"

At my early age, I was diagnosed of having a possible hypertension.
I guess, I got it from my unhealthy lifestyle as well as from my parents (both are hypertensive).

Of course, I was/am scared because you never know when it will attack. I tried to change my lifestyle for several times, especially my eating habits, but I always fail to change it. Whenever I feel something, I tried to keep it to myself, and I don't do visit my doctor because I don't want to know what's wrong with me.

God is really good.
He blessed me with longer life because I still breathe from the time I was diagnosed up to this very moment. He even allowed me to be married and have my own family.
This is the time that I've really decided to fix myself and do this for my family.

More than six months ago I prayed to God to help me cure the forming hypertension inside of me. Thus, I prepared myself physically, emotionally and financially. Thanks to my wife for the encouragement.
I visit my doctor regularly; take medicines religiously and changed my lifestyle gradually.
It was last December 15; I got my lab results and my follow-up check-up as well.

In years, for the first time a good news came to me about my health condition.
After my doctor read the lab results, he told me that everything is already normal.
PRAISE GOD!
He also told my me that we can already remove all the 6meds I'm taking.
PRAISE GOD!

Since it's Christmas season and might be tempted compromising my eating habit again, my doctor decided to retain just three medicines with a minimal dosage and will come back this February for lab. I was Praising and Thanking God as I walk outside the clinic and immediately told my wife about the good news.

I hardly control being emotional whenever I think/realized how God is good to me, my family, everyone.

It's a New Year and a new life for me. I don't have any new year's resolution but I/We have plans and dreams and patiently waiting for God's approval. I need to be there physically when God gives the go signal. :)

Life is a one-shot thing, so don't waste it. You may lose it physically but never let lose it spiritually.

Is your life bugging you? Or are you bugging your life?

God continuously revealing himself to me in so many things and ways, and still I know little of Him.

As for me, I want to know Him more and make him known to let the world know that there is God, who is just one prayer away.
